Testimonials

George & Rodica Enache

From George:

Apart from his unquestionable experience and professionalism, Mr. John Hall's kindness, patience, wisdom and positive attitude towards our son helped us a lot not only emotionally during this difficult time to the Hearing but also, very importantly, in better understanding the essence of our own appeal. His visit, preceded and followed by a substantial number of detailed questions helped us spot all foggy tactics used by Local Authority against our son's progress. No matter what happens at the Hearing, we find Mr. John Hall's Report objective, impeccable and irreproachable.
If Tribunal doesn't listen to us, they should listen to him.

There are not many professionals about which one could say "when he opens his mouth, he opens my mind". Mr John Hall is one.

From Rodica:

Open, positive, the ultimate listener, making all the efforts to understand your point of view.
Firm, clear and impartial, kind and fair to the child.
Professional but warm and respectful.
Inspiring trust from the very beginning.
Reliable - he did not put a full stop to his Report until he was satisfied that he had understood everything and was able to express an objective view.
Clear with loads and diverse experience.

Mrs L Malta

We felt secure and confident with your presence at the Tribunal and your detailed reports provided a perfect picture of our son which helped the Tribunal to reach the decision in our favour. Our son is now in a independent special school won at the Tribunal for primary and secondary placement. We recommend your services to any parent who wants to secure provision in a Statement and the right school placement for their child.

Mr and Mrs Griffin

After seeking legal advice regarding my son’s education we sought the professional service of Mr. John Hall, Educational Psychologist. On meeting with him for the first time we were put at ease straight away and he was extremely helpful and understanding. Mr. Hall took the time to get to know our son and made him feel comfortable before undergoing the necessary tests for the report. The report was a valuable part of the evidence for my son’s case, the information was extremely thorough in outlining the conditions that needed to be supported. We truly believe that with the aid of Mr. John Hall we were able to secure the support that our son desperately needed in his education.

The Hart Family

After years of wrangling with our local authority trying and failing to obtain appropriate SEN provision for three of our grandchildren. We met John Hall Independent Educational Psychologist. Our grandchildrens lives were changed forever.

We were lucky enough to visit John Hall for Independent Educational Psychological Assessment Reports for two of our grandchildren. John put them completely at ease, he is considerate and totally empathetic. He was our "Expert Witness" at two winning SEN Tribunals, at which the Local authority had no realistic response to John's expert, professional, highly detailed reports. He will not be intimidated to alter his views and puts realistic arguments as to the possible attainments of the child and knows exactly what provision should be put in place for each individual child.

John has been totally supportive, not only to our grandchildren, but to all the family. Infact, we do not know where our grandchildren would be without him. The tribunel panel upheld John Hall's expert professional opinions on both our grandchildren, they are now receiving appropriate educational provision in a specialist school and absolutely love it. They have blossomed beyond our expectations, they are happy and for once in their school lives enjoying learning. John's expert reports have been invaluable, our two cases prove John's reports can turn lives around. An added bonus, he is a lovely man too.

Ms L Chu

I sought an assessment from John Hall when my son had been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and was being failed by his school and receiving multiple exclusions. However, when I requested a statutory assessment of his needs, my LEA refused so I appealed to the SEND tribunal. John carried out a thorough assessment of my son's special educational needs, which included gathering views from myself and his school, as well as a detailed review of his previous assessments and a cognitive assessment. John wrote to our LEA to support our case for a statutory assessment and we were fortunate that with this evidence, the LEA agreed to make an statutory assessment so we did not have to take the case to tribunal.

A year later, my son was due to transfer to secondary school and it became clear that his needs were highly complex and he would need a residential special school placement. Our LEA refused my request for a residential ASD school and instead named an unsuitable BESD placement, so I had to appeal to SEND once more. John updated his assessment and appeared as a vital witness at our tribunal hearing.

He explained how my son's Asperger Syndrome affected his educational needs and argued convincingly for my son's need for a specialist 24-hour curriculum. The appeal was upheld and my son is now thriving in his school, where he receives a high level of support and is now engaged with learning and gaining essential social skills. The support and advice received from John was invaluable and I would not hesitate to recommend him or to use him again if the need arose.

John provided critical evidence for us in our tribunal to get our daughter into a residential special needs school. The case with our daughter was not easy, as she had only been diagnosed with autism at the (late) age of 14 years, but, after meeting her at his office in Bristol, John saw immediately that she would benefit from special needs care at a specialized, residential, school. Our key issue was to convince the local authority of this, and on failing to do this through normal interaction we were forced into tribunal proceedings. Fortunately John was able to attend the hearing personally, and this made all the difference, we believe, to the credibility of our case. We subsequently won the tribunal.

We are very grateful to John, and value his expertise in setting us up correctly for this case. We can highly recommend John to others looking for professional psychological assessment of their child. We were pleased we had John on our side!
